Leviathan Project is the new Metal ensemble, featuring , Bobby Koeble (Death), Matt Nardo (Producer), Tk and Tim "Ripper" Owens (guest vox, x-Judas Priest). Exploring the ongoing study of our human condition through music, writings, and visual communication. The result is an aggressive and captivating sound that combines traditional Heavy Metal with catchy melodies, haunting vocals and other worldly guitars.

Leviathan Project is about the moment and letting yourself get lost in the music.  I try to capture sounds and songs that will take you somewhere else.

Gear used during recording:

Logic Pro x, Scarlett Interface, Boss HM-2 Pedal, 80's Japanese Stratocater with Seymour Duncan SH Pickups, ESP Viper, Kramer Focus and a Hofner Violin Bass.

Matt Nardo

Being involved in the creation of Leviathan Project has opened up new worlds for me as a musician. When you build music with talents like Bobby, Tim, and Tk; how can it not be something that resonates?

Gear used during recording:

1973 Fender Precision Bass direct into a Universal Audio Apollo X4 interface. For electric guitars parts, I used a 1990 Ibanez RG 550, Les Paul Standard, Valley Arts Custom Pro Super Strat, and Fender Telecaster. These guitars ran through either a live mic setup featuring either a 1978 Modded JMP Marshall 100 Watt amp, or DR Z Maz 18 Jr. Speaker cabinets were loaded with G12 M Celestion 65 watt “Creambacks” A Friedman Amp Model was also used on occasion for different sounds. Pedals used were Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive, Strymon El Capistan Tape Echo. Mic used was a Shure SM57 on speakers sent through the UA Apollo into an API Vision channel strip emulation. Lastly, a Blue Spark Mic was utilized for back up and ghost vocals. These vocals were routed through the UA Apollo and into a Neve 1084 mic pre emulation.

Bobby Koelble

I listened to the basic tracks and just went for it.  I try to keep the flow of musicality in whatever I play.
